The end is here!

We’re at the end of the Hell’s Paradise: Jigokuraku property from Yuji Kaku as the series draws to a close today in Japan. We learned last week when the creator has revealed that the 127th chapter that’s due out on January 25th, 2021 will be the final one of the series. The series has twelve volumes to date in Japan with the most recent one out last month. The thirteenth and final volume isn’t scheduled yet for the property.

Now, the issue of Shonen Jump that it appears in has revealed that the manga is getting a TV anime adaptation as well. No details were provided about the adaptation in terms of cast, staffing, or scheduling for it.

The series is one that saw quick release in North America with Viz Media bringing it out through their digital distribution with weekly chapters free for three at a time and then quickly with print volumes as well.

Plot Concept: The series focuses on Gabimaru, once exalted as the strongest ninja, but who has now quit his trade, violating the laws of his village. After being captured, he claims he has nothing left to live for. However, due to his superhuman levels of training, he has inadvertently survived multiple executions, from attempts at beheading to burning at the stake. The executioner Sagiri Asaemon tells him that he has a lingering attachment to life, and issues him a mission to win his acquittal: to find the elixir of immortality.
