Peppermint Anime Reveals 16th ‘Cautious Hero: The Hero Is Overpowered but Overly Cautious’ German-Dubbed Clip
The fall 2019 anime adaptation of the Kono Yūsha ga Ore TUEEE Kuse ni Shinchō Sugiru, aka Cautious Hero: The Hero Is Overpowered but Overly Cautious, novel series has come and gone but some new distribution is up for it. With the first volume out on August 24th, 2020, German distributor Peppermint Anime has now brought out the sixteenth dub clip for the show after its second home video release which was scheduled for and saw release with an October 19th, 2020 debut. It’s set for six episodes in both Japanese and German languages with German subtitles.
Masayuki Sakai directed based on the scripts from Kenta Ihara. Mai Toda is on board with character design while White Fox will be producing the animation for it.
The Japanese cast includes Yuichiro Umehara as Seiya Ryūgūin along with Aki Toyosaki as Ristarte, Hibiku Yamamura as Aliado, Atsushi Ono as Selseus, and Keiko Han as Ishista.
The English dub was directed by Jeremy Inman with Natalie Hoover and Tia Ballard serving as assistant ADR directors. The English cast includes Anthony Bowling as Seiya Ryūgūin, Jamie Marchi as Ristarte, Chris Rager as Cerceus, Chris Thurman as Mash, Marissa Lenti as Ariadoa, and Sarah Wiedenheft as Elulu.
MYTH&ROID performs the opening theme song for this show with “TIT FOR TAT” being used. Riko Azuna performs the ending theme song “be perfect, plz!” for the show.
The series comes from writer Light Tuchihi which began in 2016 and has five volumes out while the manga by Koyuki has one volume.
Plot Concept: In the world of Gaeabrande, Goddess Ristarte is tasked with summoning a hero to save her world. The hero, Seiya Ryuuguuin, is an OVERLY cautious hero who’s obsessed with muscle training and buying armor before setting out to deal with low level creatures. It’s simply one overly cautious mission at-a-time for this invincible hero!
