Madman Schedules 1st ‘No Guns Life’ Anime Season Blu-ray Release

With the fall 2019 anime adaptation of the No Guns Life manga wrapped up, Madman Entertainment in Australia is getting ready to roll this bad boy out on home video. The first season is set for an April 7th, 2021 debut where it’ll be priced at $64.98 for the bilingual edition. It’ll feature the twelve episodes in Japanese and English with Region A coding set for it across two discs. Extras for the set should include the same as the North American release with:

  • Promo Videos
  • Commercials
  • Textless Opening and Ending Songs

Naotuki Itou will be directing it with Yukie Sugawara handling the series composition. Masanori Shino is on board for character designs while Madhouse will animate the project.

The Japanese cast includes Junichi Suwabe as Juzo Inui, Manami Numakura as Mary Steinberg, Daiki Yamashita as Tetsurō Arahabaki, Yōko Hikasa as Olivier Juan de Belmer, Yōji Ueda as Hugh Cunningham, Christina Matsuzaki, Masashi Ebara as Christina Matsuzaki, Marika Kouno as Scarlett Gosling, Yūya Uchida as Cronen von Wolf, Kenyu Horiuchi as Mega-armed Tokisada, Inori Minase as Pepper, and Yūko Sanpei as Seven.

For the first cour, Kenichi Asai is performing the opening theme song “Motor City” for the series while DATS’ is hanlding ending theme song “Game Over.”

For the second cour, This Is Japan is set to handle the ending sequence with “New World” while the opening song is more complicated. Composer Hiroyuki Sawano’s “SawanoHiroyuki[nZk]” vocal project is partnering with MAN WITH A MISSION guitarist and vocalist Jean-Ken Johnny to perform the opening theme song “Chaos Drifters.”

The manga series is licensed Viz Media with a fall 2019 print/digital start, began in 2014 and has eight volumes out as of this month.
