Marvel Studios Planning Projects With Chris Evans

2 min read

With it all in the final negotiations stage according to Deadline, the Marvel Cinematic Universe may have  Steve Rogers to kick around again in some form. According to the report, Evans is being set for a two-picture deal that would bring him back in a supporting character way as opposed to an actual Captain America movie. The role of Captain America was handed to Sam Wilson at the end of Avengers: Endgame but from what’s been teased with the Falcon and Winter Soldier Disney+ series coming up is that it’s something that the Wilson character is still struggling with.

What’s being heard is that it’s more akin to what Robert Downey, Jr. did with Spider-Man: Homecoming and the like as a quasi-guest role.

According to the deadline, “Things had changed in recent months as the idea was floated of Evans returning to the MCU as Rogers to see if there was any interest and as the weeks went by, Evans became more game to the idea with the two sides coming to agreement at the top of the year.”

With the character of Steve Rogers having taken on numerous roles over the years, and the potential for something along the timeline based on events of Endgame itself and the opening of the Cinematic Universe, the potential for something wild and crazy is out there.

We’ll still hope for a Peggy & Steve: Cold Warriors series.
