The TV side of the Hunter x Hunter franchise has wrapped up its North American release and we’re seeing someone else get into the game. Manga Entertainment UK began their Blu-ray releases last year and they’ve got a new trailer out now to highlight it. Though it is a bit confusing if you’re not familiar with what’s going on. The trailer is basically made up of footage from the first set but showcases the cover artwork for the second set for the first time. It links to the Amazon UK page which tells us that the set came out back on December 7th, 2020, but the trailer lists it for February 1st, 2021. We’re going to guess that it’s set for the February date and that this is basically a cover reveal – and a really nice cover at that!
Of course, if you go and look at the first set on Amazon UK, you’ll see that it released on December 7th and it uses the same artwork as above, including the part two piece.
Confusion abounds for what should be a simple “hey, check out the new preorder trailer!”
The distributor has said that their releases will be done in less volumes that Viz Media’s release as they’re doing two cour per set whereas Viz shifted to that about halfway through their run.
