The winter 2021 anime adaptation of the Bottom-tier Character Tomozaki manga from Yuki Yaku is having its home video releases handled by Happinet. The distributor has set a six-volume release for the twelve-episode series that comes with two OVAs. Those are spread to the third and fourth volumes with no price increases. With releases set to begin on March 3rd, 2021, the DVDs are priced at 5,800 yen while the Blu-rays are priced at 6,800 yen. Check the full schedule and first artwork below.
Shinsuke Yanagi directed it based on the scripts overseen by Fumihiko Shimo. Akane Yano worked on the character designs with Project No. 9 handling the animation production.
The drama CD cast reprised their roles for the show with Gen Sato as Fumiya Tomozaki, Hisako Kanemoto as Aoi Hinami, Ikumi Hasegawa as Manami Nanami, Ai Kayano as Fūka Kikuchi, Ryōko Maekawa as Hanabi Natsubayashi, Nene Hieda as Yuzu Izumi, Nobunaga Shimazaki as Takahiro Mizusawa, Nobuhiko Okamoto as Nakamura, and Shuntarō Mizuno as Takei.
The light novel series, which is being released in English by Yen Press, comes from Yuki Yaku and began in 2016 and has eight volumes out as of the anime announcement.
The opening theme song is “Jinsei Easy?” by DIALOGUE+ while the ending theme song “Ayafuwa Asterisk” is also performed by them.
