The summer 2020 anime adaptation of the light novel series Maō Gakuin no Futekigōsha is localized as The Misfit of Demon King Academy and Aniplex Japan is handling the home video release for it. The thirteen-episode series is getting a six-volume release that began on September 30th, 2020. With some time to go before the fifth volume arrives on January 27th, 2021, we now have a look at the cover that helps to define what the run will look like in terms of style and design. The first five volumes are priced at 6,000 yen on DVD and 7,000 yen on Blu-ray while the sixth and final is priced at 7,000 yen and 8,000 yen respectively. Check the full schedule below!
The series has Shin Oonuma as the chief director and Masafumi Tamura as the director. Mirai Minato is on board as the assistant director. Jin Tanaka is handling the scripts with Kazuyuki Yamayoshi adapting the character designs. Silver Link is working the animation production. Check out the new key visual below as well.
The anime adaptation will feature Tatsuhisa Suzuki as Anoth. Additional casting includes Tomori Kusunoki as Misha Necron and Yuko Natsuyoshi as Sasha Necron.
The opening theme song is “Seikai Fusaikai” by CIVILIAN while the ending theme song information with it being “Hamidashimono” by Tomori Kusunoki.
The novels come from Shu which began in 2017 and has five volumes to date. A manga adaptation launched in the summer of 2018 from Kayaharuka.
