Aniplex Japan is handling the fall 2020 original anime project Warlords of Sigrdrifa with their home video releases. They’ve set out the details for their twelve-episode series in that it’s getting a six-disc release that begins on December 23rd, 2020. The first volume DVD and Blu-ray are priced at 7,500 yen and 8,500 yen respectively. The remaining volumes are priced at 6,500 yen on DVD and 7,500 yen on Blu-ray each. With the second set coming up next month we now have a look at the cover artwork for it that will continue to define the run and the style of it, which should be gorgeous.

Tappei Nagatsuki of Re:Zero is writing the scripts and supervising the project while Takuya Fijima of Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha Vivid is working on the original character designs. Hirotaka Tokuda has been revealed as the director for it with A-1 Pictures handling the production. Takumi Yokota is adapting the character designs.
The Japanese cast includes Ai Kayano as Rusalka Evereska, Mikako Komatsu as Lizbet Crown, Hitomi Ueda as Leyli Haltija, Yui Horie as Misato Honjo, Rina Hidaka as Nono Kazuura, Sumire Uesaka as Komachi Mikuri, Hibiku Yamamura as Claudia Braford with the Gloster Gladiator Mk. II, Nene Hieda Miyako Muguruma with the Nakajima Ki-44-II Otsu, M.A.O Azuzu Komagome with the Heinkel He100D-1, Sayaka Kikuchi as Sonoka Torai with the Macchi M.C.72R, Hiroaki Hirata as Ichiro Satomi, Shigeru Chiba as Maintenance team leader, Yuichi Nakamura as Ronge ,Tomokazu Sugita as Kinpatsu, Mafia Kajita as Gurasan, Yumiri Hanamori as young Odin, and Akira Kamiya will play elderly Odin.
Akari Nanawo on board to perform the opening theme song “Higher’s High” while Spira Spica will perform the ending song “Sayonara Namida.”

Plot Concept: The Pillars suddenly appeared above Earth, threatening all life. A god who called himself Odin came to the aid of humanity as it was driven to near complete defeat. To counter the Pillars, Odin declared a counterattack by bequeathing humanity with the battle maidens Walküres and the “herocraft” as their wings.
Several years later, the battle between humanity and Pillars rages on, with men supporting the Walküres as they soar through the treacherous skies to save the world.
Japan is no exception. Three Walküres confront the giant Pillar looming over sacred Mt. Fuji. Each Walküre is skilled, but each also has issues. And now, an ace pilot has arrived from Europe.
“Now is the time to fight back, humanity. The day of reckoning has arrived. The time of Ragnarok draws nears.”
