
The folks at Crunchyroll are tackling another piece of this franchise with Kiratto Pri☆Chan now getting some attention. The show began a couple of years ago and had some delays during the most recent iteration of it due to COVID back in the spring with a couple of months of delays. Crunchyroll has now started adding the series to their service with the first batch of episodes going live today at 7:00 pm PT.
The plan is for new episodes to be added every three weeks with eighteen episodes being added tonight. Availability is for members in the United States, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, Central America, South America, the Caribbean, and Europe.
The series has Hiroshi Ikehata directing based on the scripts by Kazuho Hyodo. Hajime Mitsuda is handling the character designs with Tatsunoko Production and Dongwoo A&E handling the animation production.
The Japanese cast includes Koko Hayashi as Mirai Momoyama, Miyu Kubota as play Emo Moegi, Nanami Atsugi as Rin Aoba, Yū Serizawa as Anna Akagi, and Yūki Wakai as Sara Midorikawa. Additional casting includes Sora Tokui as Suzu Kurogawa, Rico Sasaki as Daia, and Himika Akaneya as Maria Kanamori.
Plot Concept: PriChan is a channel where anyone can become an idol! Every girl dreams about producing her own sparkling, exciting channel and becoming a popular PriChan Idol!
First-years at Kirarigaoka Middle School, Momoyama Mirai and Moegi Emo, end up making their own PriChan debut out of a feeling of rivalry towards their classmate, the PriChan Idol Akagi Anna. Bringing the knowledgeable straight-A student Aoba Rinka into their group, they begin to craft their new channel while dreaming about becoming PriChan Idols!
