With a game that launched back in 2015, I★CHU we got the nod way back in April 2019 that an anime adaptation is in the works with I★CHU Étoile Stage. Details have been slim since then but at various stages we’ve gotten cast additions since there are multiple groups to deal with. Recently, the series was given a January 6th, 2021 premiere date for it on Tokyo MX before rolling out elsewhere. Now, the latest promo has arrived that deals with one of the insert songs for the show where, in 90 seconds, it gets creative and covers a couple dozen characters to perform it.
Hitoshi Nanba has signed on to direct based on the series scripts supervised by Yoshimi Narita. Mina Osawa is handling the character designs with Lay-duce working on the animation production.
Now, the official site has dropped a new promotional video you can see below as well as a new key visual showing off more of the cast as we get ready for a January 2021 premiere for the series.
