‘Kemono Jihen’ Anime Debuts Latest Promo

A new anime adaptation that was set for a debut in 2020 was the Kemono Jihen series but it got pushed back some because of the pandemic. Known as Monster Incidents, the series is set for a January 10th, 2021 debut as we now a new promotional video has landed for it that highlights the recently revealed opening theme song.

Masaya Fujimori is on board to direct it working from the series composition by Noboru Kimura. Nozomi Tachibana is on board with character design work while Ajia-do Animation Works is slated for the animation production.

The previously announced Japanese cast includes Natsumi Fujiwara as Kabane Kusaka, Junichi Suwabe as Kohachi Inugami, Ayumu Murase as Akira, Natsuki Hanae as Shiki Tademaru, Daisuke Ono as Mihai, Yumiri Hanamori as Kon, Kana Hanazawa as  Inari, and Hiro Shimono as Nobimaru.

Daisuke Ono will perform the opening theme song “Kemonomichi” in the form of his character Mihai while Sayaka Sasaki will perform the ending theme song “Shirube.”

 

The series comes from Sho Aimoto which began in 2016 in Jump SQ magazine. It has eleven volumes out as of summer 2020.

Plot Concept: In a quiet rural village, a strange incident occurs where many domestic animals die unnatural deaths. To resolve the incident, an odd-looking man from Tokyo who goes by the name of “Inugami” comes to the town to investigate. In the town, he meets a young boy who has a mysterious air about him called “Dorotabō.”
