With a game that launched back in 2015, I★CHU we got the nod way back in April 2019 that an anime adaptation is in the works with I★CHU Étoile Stage. Details have been slim since then but at various stages we’ve gotten cast additions since there are multiple groups to deal with. Recently, the series was given a January 6th, 2021 premiere date for it on Tokyo MX before rolling out elsewhere. Now, a new promo has landed that features the opening theme song for the series with the song “Rainbow☆Harmony” performed by I★CHU Leaders.
Hitoshi Nanba has signed on to direct based on the series scripts supervised by Yoshimi Narita. Mina Osawa is handling the character designs with Lay-duce working on the animation production.
Now, the official site has dropped a new promotional video you can see below as well as a new key visual showing off more of the cast as we get ready for a January 2021 premiere for the series.
