The winter 2018 anime series Katana Maidens – Toji no Miko was followed-up with some short-form material and late last year Square Enix revealed that the game will be spawning a new OVA. With Crunchyroll co-producing, the project is known as Katana Maidens – Tomoshibi. The OVA is based on the game and now we have a new TV commercial spot for it that focuses on the second part which saw a November 29th, 2020 debut. This was created as a post-broadcast piece to highlight it with it just going on other streaming services and the upcoming home video release.
The new project will be directed by Tomohiro Kamitani based on the series composition by Aoi Akashiro. Daisuke Niitsuma is handling the character designs and project No.9 on animation production.
The Japanese cast includes:

Koudai Kakimoto directed the show based on the series composition by Tatsuya Takahashi. Yoshinori Shizuma served as the original character designer with Yuuko Yahiro adapting them and serving as the chief animation director with Kenji Oota for studio Gokumi.
The Japanese cast includes Kaede Hondo as Kanami Etou, Saori Oonishi asHiyori Juujuu, Azumi Waki as Mai Yanase, Hina Kino as Sayaka Itomi, Risae Matsuda as Kaoru Mashiko, Eri Suzuki as Eren Kohagura, Asami Seto as Yukari Origami, Yumi Uchiyama as Maki Shidou, M.A.O as Suzuka Korehana, Mai Fuchigami as Yomi Satsuki, and Inori Minase as Yume Tsubakuro.
The English dub was directed by Jerry Jewell based on the ADR scripts by Jessica Cavanagh.
