2 min read

Alice in Deadly School VisualWe learned way back at Comiket 90 in 2016 that a new series has been announced for an anime adaptation. The four-panel manga series Alice in Deadly School by Kaoru Asakura and Ajiko Kojima has now gotten the formal nod, though no details about the production were available. With it being part of the Gekidol anime rollout next year, some new details have landed with a new promotional video and a premiere date of January 4th, 2021 being set.

The series has Shigeyasu Yamauchi as the director working from the scripts by Yumi KAgeyama. Kiyoshi Tateishi is adapting Asami Sekiya’s designs with Hoods Entertainment handling the production.

The Japanese cast includes:

  • M.A.O as Yū Sumio
  • Chihira Mochida as Shinako Hyakumura
  • Hikaru Akao as Sayaka Murasaki
  • Ayaka Suwa as Kiriko Tōnuma
  • Nozomi Yamamoto as Yumiya Akashima
  • Asami Takano as Kazuma Aoiki
  • Aya Akiyoshi as An Suiaki
  • Amina Satō as Tomoyo Takamori
  • Kaori Mizuhashi as Yonari Kaihara
  • Saki Ogasawara as Emi Kiichi
  • Sarara Yashima as Kaori Ikari
  • Rei Suzuya as Setsubun Shigemoto

The manga began in Dengeki Comics Daioh “g” back in 2013 and has one full volume in print that came out in summer 2016.

Plot concept: The series begins with the peaceful daily life of schoolgirls — which suddenly breaks down when former schoolmates become zombies. The show follows the actions taken by the girls left behind on the school roof.
