It’s very easy to feel disconnected from The Seven Deadly since as it’s a Netflix exclusive and there are no home video releases for those that partake mostly just from there. With the manga series wrapping up earlier this year, the next TV series for the project, The Seven Deadly Sins: Dragon’s Judgment, was set for an October 2020 debut but was delayed due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
The series was pushed to a January 2021 debut and now with the debut of a new promotional video it’s been set specifically for a January 6th, 2021 debut in Japan. The promo also came alongside a new key visual below and a confirmation that the staff from the previous season is returning for this one.
The season as Susumu Nishiaawa directing it based on the scripts overseen by Rintarou Ikeda. Rie Nishino is handling the character designs while Studio DEEN is on board for the animation production.
The Japanese cast includes Yuuki Kaji as Meliodas, Sora Amamiya as Elizabeth, Jun Fukuyama as King, Misaki Kuno as Hawk, and Mamoru Miyano as Gilthunder so far.
The manga is created by Nakaba Suzuki with forty-one volumes in print for its original run. The manga series began in 2012 and Kodansha Comics is bringing the series out for North American fans in print while Crunchyroll has the digital chapters being published on their site.
