Top 20 Manga Graphic Novels For October 2020

Ah, time for my monthly mini-rant with how problematic it is that one publisher has such a stranglehold on the top twenty list. We’ve got the latest look at what’s selling for the month of October 2020 through the NPD BookScan breakdown that ICv2 supplies. This month, we get one title from Kodansha Comics with the fourth Wotakoi volume landing in eleventh place. It’s impressive when you consider the price and volume differences as this release is $18 on the cover for not much more than what all the $9.99 titles are selling at.

This month saw the arrival of a new My Hero Academia volume so it’s no surprise that it took the top spot and brought along a lot of others. We’ve got the familiar crew of evergreen titles scattered throughout and more recent arrivals like Chainsaw Man charting high. Junji Ito continues to do well for a period with each new release and Uzumaki is eating up some space on the chart here as well.
