‘High-Rise Invasion’ Manga Getting Netflix Anime Adaptation

With the series simulpublished in Japanese, Chinese, and English through the Manga Box app, Seven Seas Entertainment  picked up the rights to Tenkuu Shinpan, which was localized as High Rise Invasion, back in 2017 The series comes from creators Tsuina Miura and Takahiro Oba that began in 2013 and has twelve volumes released so far in Japan.

Now, Netflix has revealed as part of its 2020 anime festival that they’re producing a series for it that will debut in February 2021.

The show has Masahiro Takata directing it based on the scripts by Touko Machida. Yoichi Ueda is on board for the character designs and serving as the chief animation director.

The Japanese cast for this includes:

  • Haruka Shiraishi as Yuri Honjō
  • Shiki Aoki as Mayuko Nise
  • Akira Sekine as Kuon Shinzaki
  • Junya Enoki as Rika Honjō
  • Yuichiro Umehara as Sniper Mask

Plot concept: High-school girl Yuri suddenly finds herself on the rooftop of a high-rise building. She’s trapped in a bizarre world surrounded by skyscrapers, where a masked man cracked open a man’s head with an axe before her eyes. The original author of “Ajin,” Tsuina Miura works in collaboration with Takahiro Oba, the artist of “Box!,” to bring you this thrilling skyscraper suspense!
