It’s been a few years since Sentai Filmworks came out with the couple of seasons for the Kinmoza, aka Kiniro Mosaic, series and they’re doing some new promotion for it now. With a trailer that saw inclusion on the home video releases but not streaming, that’s now available on their channel. The series is available in complete form on both DVD and Blu-ray still being in print while also streaming on HIDIVE. The two seasons were released in North America in subtitled-only form on separate DVD and Blu-ray releases.
The two series were produced by Studio Gokumi with Showgate and were directed by Motoki Tanaka. It was animated at Studio Gokumi with Yuniko Ayana handling the scripting duties. Kazuyuki Ueda worked the character design.
Plot concept: The story begins with Oomiya Shinobu, a 15-year-old, seemingly pure Japanese girl who actually did a homestay in Great Britain. Even after coming back to Japan, she still misses her time overseas. One day, an airmail letter arrives from Alice, the girl in Shinobu’s host family in Great Britain. The letter reads: Shinobu, I’m coming to Japan! The Japanese/British girls’ mixed comedy follows the lives of Shinobu, Alice, and other girls from both Japan and Great Britain.
