‘Hortensia Saga’ Anime Cast Expands With New Key Visual & Promo

The very end of 2019 brought the reveal that the Hortensia Saga property would be making the leap to the anime side as the game moved toward the multimedia approach with a manga as well. Set for a Winter 2021 debut with a firm January date to come, the official site has now added more supporting cast members below as well as a new key visual to show off. In addition to that, a new preview surfaced via Twitter that you can see below the previews the opening theme song.

The series is directed by Yasuto Nishikata based on the scripts overseen by Rintarou Ikeda. Takayuki Onoda is handling the character designs with LIDEN FILMS production the animation.

The Japanese cast includes:

  • Yoshimasa Hosoya as Alfred Ober
  • Yui Horie as Mariyus Casteledo
  • Kenjiro Tsuda as Maurice Baudelaire
  • Reina Ueda as Nonnoria Folley
  • Aya Uchida as Kuu Morimol
  • Yuichiro Umehara as Deflott Danowa

The new cast additions include:

  • Yu Kobayashi as Adelheid Olivier
  • Tetsuya Kakihara as Leon D. Olivier
  • Takehito Koyasu Fernando Ober
  • Kenji Nomura as Lugis F. Camellia
  • Takuya Eguchi as Roy Bashro
  • Yuka Ōtsubo as Bernadetta Ober
  • Kazuma Horie as Alexi Baldebron
  • Shūichi Ikeda as Didier Vialdo

MY FIRST STORY is handling the opening theme song for the series.

Plot Concept: Hortensia Saga is a medieval fantasy tale of war and chaos. Three years ago the king was betrayed and murdered by one of his dukes who then built his own kingdom out of the ashes of the old. But now, the original heir to the throne has secretly come of age.
