2 min read

With a new Netflix series being put together already, Constantin Films is ready to get their reboot film series underway as the original films did a whole lot of cash over the years. The new untitled project has writer/director Johannes Roberts on board for it and are intending to be faithful to the original survival horror games.

While a lot of details are yet to be revealed, the initial casting was confirmed with:

  • Kaya Scodelario as Claire Redfield
  • Hannah John-Kamen as Jill Valentine
  • Robbie Amell as Chris Redfield
  • Tom Hopper as Albert Wesker
  • Avan Jogia as Leon S. Kennedy
  • Neal McDonough as William Birkin

“With this movie, I really wanted to go back to the original first two games and re-create the terrifying visceral experience I had when I first played them whilst at the same time telling a grounded human story about a small dying American town that feels both relatable and relevant to today’s audiences, said writer-director Johannes Roberts.

Said franchise producer Robert Kulzer, “After a dozen games, six live-action movies and hundreds of pages of fan fiction, we felt compelled to return to the year 1998, to explore the secrets hidden in the walls of the Spenser Mansion and Raccoon City.

Plot Concept: This story is set in 1998 on a fateful night in Raccoon City.
