The folks at P.A. Works have a new series that they’ve been working with Key and Jun Maeda on with The Day I Became a God, aka Kami-sama ni Natta Hi. The project is locked in for an October 10th, 2020 premiere through the main broadcast channels. Now, Funimation has revealed that they’ll be bringing out this Aniplex USA distributed title as part of their fall line-up..
The series features director Yoshiyuki Asai and new updates through a live-stream event this weekend revealed that the original character designs are from Na-Ga with Manabu Nii adapting them. We also got a cast expansion beyond our leading character and a new key visual to the right and promo below.
The Japanese cast includes:

- Natsuki Hanae as Yōta Narukami
- Yui Ishikawa as Kyōko Izanami
- Ryohei Kimura as Ashura Kokuhō
- Yūki Kuwahara as Sora Narukami

- Yu Shimamura as Kako Tengan
- Kikuko Inoue as CEO
- Kenichirō Matsuda as Raita Oguma
- Ryoka Yuzuki as Tokiko Narukami
- Tarusuke Shingaki as Daichi Narukami
The original project features original character designs by Na-Ga with Jun Maeda handling the script.
