30 Day Book Challenge Day 22: Your Favorite Book Quote

2 min read

While there are a lot of things that stick out for me from books I’ve read over the years, actual quotes are few and far between simply because the sheer amount of media I consume. It has to be really strong to stand out or, as is often the case, something that I saw early in my life as I was really starting to read and it imprinted in myself in a way that modern works just aren’t able to do.

One of those things came from the for me influential novel Time Enough for Love where Robert Heinlein produced a lot of quotes about his leading character there, which in later years had a nice little actual notebook made to tie into the in-book notebook designation. There are a lot of quotes in it that stick out for me, some of which I live my life by, including:

“The more you love, the more you can love–and the more intensely you love. Nor is there any limit on how many you can love. If a person had Time Enough, he could Love all of the majority who are decent and just.”

Bonus question: What’s the worse line of dialogue or quote you’ve read?
