An original character is set!

There are a lot of fun manga that make their way to the live-action side where an adaptation is ideal and a new one was announced earlier this month with Way of the Househusband. It’s set to be directed by Toichiro Ruto. The new adaptation is set for a fall debut on NTV with Hiroshi Tamaki starring as the lead, Tatsu, and Haruna Kawaguchi as Miku, Tatsu’s wife in the show. We then learned that Jun Shison joined the project as Masa and then Yūta Furukawa as Tatsuki Sakai.

The latest bit is two-fold as we get our first promotional video for the show which plays things up nicely and the second being a cast addition. Tina Tamashiro has joined the production in the role of Yukari Omae. The character was created for the TV version and is a college student that works part-time at a cafe.

Viz Media picked this up last year and has a couple of volumes out so far that comes from creator Kosuke Oono. The manga began in 2018 and has five volumes out in Japan so far.

The legendary yakuza “the Immortal Dragon” has washed his hands of the gangster life for something far more dangerous—becoming a househusband!
