The folks at ICv2 have rolled out a look at the top twenty adult graphic novels released during the month of August. With the second season of Umbrella Academy debuting at the end of July, it’s no surprise that the trades for it – even the first one that’s over a decade old – is now taking up some of the top spots in the chart. It’s also good to see the first volume of March with the John Lewis story doing well and bringing his story to more people after his recent passing. This month has the first time Marvel has been on the list this year with Star Wars: The Rise of Kylo Ren which shows the popularity of the character in these circles once again.
On the manga side, Junji Ito sees Uzumaki departing the chart in favor of a new release with Venus in the Blind Spot debuting at 14. We also see more of My Hero Academia from the early volumes to the latest charting as well as more Demon Slayer and Haikyu among a couple of others.
