Top 20 Comics For Q2 2020 Revealed

The latest information from ICv2 has come out that focuses on the top twenty comics for the second quarter of 2020 by the number of units sold. The second quarter was a pretty rough quarter for obvious reasons but with so many stores shut down or in limited capacity in getting orders out – and not a lot of material out either – it’s definitely an interesting chart to look at to see what was actually moving out there. The numbers are drawn from a wide geographic range and variety of types of stores so it doesn’t favor too much in any particular direction, even with segments of the country in complete lockdown during part of this.

For this month, DC Comics had fifteen of the top twenty titles and part of that was their aggressive push to get more material out earlier than other publishers. There’s obviously a lot of focus on Batman related titles but the 100-page spectaculars made for easy pickups for people and added some serious coin to the coffers with their higher prices. But with fewer books out, fans were more ready to shell out for the books that were available.

As ICv2 notes, these sales rankings represent actual sales to consumers during the period, not sales to stores.
