The summer 2019 anime adaptation of the O Maidens in Your Savage Season manga is about to be joined by a new adaptation of the source material. We learned earlier this month that live-action series has been commissioned for it and now some details have arrived. The series is set for a September 8th, 2020 debut with it set to be directed by Mai Sakai, Aya Igashi, and Keita Mizunami. Mari Okada, who seems to have tapped into a time/space distortion field, will be writing the scripts for this as well, adapting her own work. She has any number of projects ongoing and is just incredibly prolific.
The Japanese cast includes:

- Mayū Yokota as Rika Sonezaki
- Mei Hata as Momoko Sudō
- Shuri Tanaka as Hitoha Hongō

The anime adaptation had Masahiro Ando directing with Takuro Tsukada while the series scripts are coming from the manga creator, Mari Okada, with Kaori Ishii handling the character designs and animation produced by Lay-duce.
The Japanese cast includes Tomoyo Kurosawa as Hitoha Hongō, Chika Anzai as Niina Sugawara, Shimba Tsuchiya as Izumi Norimoto, Hiyori Kono as Kazusa Onodera, Momo Asakura as Momoko Sudō, Sumire Uesaka as Rika Sonezaki, Jun Fukuyama as Tomoaki Yamagishi, Yūya Hirose as Shun Amagiri, Shunsuke Sakuya as Hisashi Saegusa, Additionally, Haruka Tomatsu as Sonoe Jūjō, and Natsuki Hanae will play Satoshi Sugimoto.
The series comes from Mari Okada and Nao Emoto which began in 2016 in Bessatsu Shonen Magazine. With five volumes out as of this past summer, it got a lot of attention for being Okada’s first manga after writing an incredible number of screenplays. She also got attention recently for her directorial debut with Maquia – When the Promised Flower Blooms.
