We begin with a flashback and it’s not a happy story. Leroy and his best friend are trapped inside a building. A shower of bullets whizz by them every second. They’re doing everything they can just to stay alive! It’s not looking good for them. Their group was supposed to meet them here an hour ago but they never showed. Those bastards! Leroy’s friend goes for broke and attempts to shoot down all of the enemies. Hey, I actually think he pulled it off…oh, nevermind. He’s dead. Well, that was unfortunate. I can only imagine the multitude of feelings that Leroy is experiencing right now. Screw it! If he’s going to go out, might as well be with guns blazing. He fires wildly while dragging his friend’s body away. After making it to an alley, he hears someone pointing a gun at him. Instinctively, he turns around and shoots the perpetrator. It turns out that it was just a kid. Dang, that’s some heavy stuff right there. War sucks. I would have probably lost my mind by now at that point. More enemies arrive and this looks like the end for Leroy. However, he’s rescued by the group that he was supposed to meet up with earlier. Better late than never, right? Nah, they aren’t getting off that easy. Leroy gives them an earful but he gets reprimanded in return. Are they for real? They have the audacity to mock him!? They’re the ones that messed up! They got his friend killed! You know what? Screw them and screw the government!
Fast forward to the present, and Leroy is waking up next to a very sexy lady. Lucky guy! In fact, this is probably the scene he wakes up to every morning. After all, he’s the world’s most famous playboy. He gets to sleep with all the fine ladies and gets paid for it! Again, lucky guy! It certainly seems like he’s living the good life these days. It’s definitely better than that hell known as war. He’s not living alone though. His friend, Kitchen, has been his houseguest for the past four months. I guess that’s a nice way to say that he’s a freeloader. On the bright side, he’s great at making breakfast! And by making breakfast, I mean supplying drugs. Yup, this household is all about sex and drugs. Kitchen claims he’s here to watch Leroy on his mother’s behalf. I don’t think his mother would appreciate what goes on in this house. By the way, Leroy and Kitchen’s interactions are great. They constantly trade insults at each other and it’s hilarious. There’s one last member of this household and it’s Leroy’s favorite girl in the world, Sharon. She’s his loyal dog. Don’t mess with Sharon or else.
Leroy tells Kitchen about the dream he had. They both agree that what happened back then was total BS. They can’t trust the government. Suddenly, the hear the doorbell ringing. Who the hell is here right now? Leroy isn’t expecting any clients. They take a peek at the security camera and see a whole bunch of suits outside. I don’t like where this is going. Remember that lovely lady that Leroy slept with earlier? Well, her boyfriend is leading those suits outside. He knows she’s been cheating on him and he’s pissed. That’s understandable. Anyone would be angry if their significant other was sleeping around. Unfortunately, he doesn’t take it well and ends up shooting her in the head. Well, that escalated quickly! Leroy tells Kitchen to take Sharon and go hide. He’ll deal with this. This is just another day in the life of the world’s most famous gigolo!
In Summary:
Be warned, this is definitely not for kids! That being said, this chapter was one heck of a ride. Leroy has sure lived an interesting life, huh? He’s an ex-marine who witnessed his best friend being killed. He gave nine years of his life to his country and the government betrayed him in the end. Most men would probably be broken by now but not Leroy. Well, he might be broken and just be really good at hiding it. But hey, he’s living a pretty decent life right now. He’s the world’s most famous playboy. Sex and drugs all day, baby! Perhaps it’s not the best lifestyle choice in the long run but it could be worse. But he’s got his friend, Kitchen, and his trusty dog, Sharon. He’ll be fine. Speaking of Kitchen, his interactions with Leroy were hilarious. The raunchy humor was on point. I liked how the chapter balanced seriousness and comedy. All in all, this was an entertaining read. I do feel bad for that one lady though. She didn’t deserve that. I look forward to seeing what Leroy has in store for her boyfriend in the next chapter!
