As we noted a couple of years ago, the Digimon franchise has found a really solid revival of sorts the last couple of years with the Digimon Adventure Tri series of films that got it a lot of worldwide attention. One of the more recent high-profile pieces was the Digimon Adventure: LAST EVOLUTION -Kizuna- film. That recently received a home video release date in Japan with September 2nd, 2020 from Toei and now the packaging for it starting to show. We’ll have a full spread hopefully soon but the first previews of the main sides of the presumed LE box have surfaced and it’s definitely slick.
The project has three flavors:
- – BD LE: 9,800 yen
- – BD: 6,800 yen
- – DVD: 5,800 yen
All the editions come with a booklet, the cast and staff audio commentary, and the promo collection. The limited-edition comes with a storyboard collection, an extra booklet, a staff illustration book, and a new drama CD with the cast.
The Japanese cast includes Natsuki Hanae as Taichi Yagami, Yoshimasa Hosoya as Yamato Ishida, Suzuko Mimori as Sora Takenouchi, Mutsumi Tamura as Kōshirō Izumi, Hitomi Yoshida as Mimi Tachikawa, Junya Ikeda as Jō Kido, Junya Enoki as Takeru Takaishi, M.A.O as Hikari Yagami, Chika Sakamoto as Agumon, Mayumi Yamaguchi as Gabumon, Atori Shigematsu as Piyomon, Takahiro Sakurai as Tentomon, Kinoko Yamada as Palmon, Junko Takeuchi as Gomamon, Miwa Matsumoto as Patamon, Yuka Tokumitsu as Tailmon, Fukujuro Katayama as Daisuke Motomiya, Arthur Lounsbery as Ken Ichijouji, Ayaka Asai as Miyako Inoue, and Yoshitaka Yamaya as Iori Hida.
