“The Café Owner Wants a Glimpse!”

University student Shinichi Sakurai is comfortable being an introverted loner and doesn’t care what others think. Buxom underclassmen Hana Uzaki doesn’t understand this one bit. A tornado of joy, she’s taken it upon herself to make him more social. Starting to enjoy her company, he’d concede that they’re friends. Can it be possible to have as much fun with another person as he would by himself?

Slow jazz at a moderate volume. Lighting that’s not too bright. And the soothing aroma of coffee. This is the cafe that Shinichi works at. He loves this kind of mood. Honestly, I can’t blame him. It looks like a relaxing place to hang out. The cafe owner is really good at picking things up. Shinichi is amazed at his talent. That’s ten plus years of experience right there. The owner likes Shinichi quite a bit. He’s attentive and knows his business policy very well. Whatever happens, he handles it with poise. Well, that was until today. Why is today special? I think you can figure it out. Yup, Uzaki found out where he works. He immediately yells at her and tells her to get out. That’s a bit rude. He explains that even though he works here, this is also his place to relax. He can’t relax if Uzaki is hanging around here. That’s true.
They continue arguing and the owner doesn’t know what to think. Uzaki spots him so he’s forced to join the conversation. He thinks it’s nice that Shinichi’s junior came to visit him. Such an adorable middle schooler! This angers Uzaki. She’s in college, dangit! This gives Shinichi the chance to make fun of her shortness. The owner is SHOCKED that he was wrong. How could he be wrong!? He’s never wrong. There’s no way this girl can be in college. The owner then gets a good glimpse at Uzaki’s ample bosom for the first time and concludes that she’s definitely a college student, haha. Eventually, Uzaki heads over to an empty table and wants to be served. Naturally, Shinichi still treats her coldly. If she doesn’t like it, she’s free to go. She doesn’t appreciate being treated this way! The owner finds their antics funny. He decides just to stand back and watch them go at it. Since Uzaki is here though, Shinichi should go ahead and show her what he can do. He does so and serves Uzaki like he would any other customer. She begins laughing hysterically. It’s so not like him! This is why Shinichi wanted her to leave. He knew she’d do this. Thus, he picks her up and tosses her out the door. She probably deserved that. The owner starts laughing, too. Those two are just so entertaining together! He lets Shinichi go home early. He’s earned it.
While on his way to class the next day, Shinichi stops when he spots a cat. He really wants to pet it! Sadly, it won’t let him. Uzaki spots him trying to pet the cat and finds it gross. What’s wrong with petting an adorable cat!? Anywho, Uzaki is easily able to pet the cat. This makes Shinichi sad. And then the cat runs away. Now he’s even more depressed. He’s not allowed to keep pets at home. It’s torture not being able to pet cute animals! Uzaki decides to help him out and runs after the cat. While searching for it, she finds herself stuck in a bush. She needs help! Shinichi catches up to her and sees her bottom sticking out. Also, he can see her underwear. There are a few ways I saw this playing out but I did not expect what happened next. Shinichi yells that she needs to put her butt away and then slaps it with a notebook. It was so unexpected that I found myself laughing out loud for a while. Shinichi tries to pull her out but she’s stuck in there pretty good. Two random girls walk by and notice Shinichi breathing heavily as he’s thrusting back and forth. They totally get the wrong idea and think he’s doing something naughty. They run away screaming. He eventually manages to pull Uzaki out but at what cost? He’s super embarrassed about the misunderstanding! He can’t live the shame down. Poor guy.
Shinichi is getting lunch at the cafeteria. Uzaki would join him but she’s eating lunch with her friend today. He doesn’t need her pity! He’s eating with a friend himself. She’s surprised to learn that he even has a friend! Now that’s just plain rude. While Shinichi is eating, he looks across the cafeteria and notices Uzaki looking at him. She keeps giving him hilarious faces and signals. She just wants to know is everything is okay over there. Uzaki proceeds to tease Shinichi through text messages. Shinichi is not amused. His food is getting cold because of her! Speaking of food getting cold, Uzaki’s noodles got soggy while she was teasing him. That’s karma for you.
And we’re back at the cafe! It really is a peaceful place, you know? Shinichi digs it. It’s a shame that Uzaki is here again to ruin the mood! What does she want this time? She needs help with her report! Well, it’s admirable that she has the courage to ask for help at least. No can do though. Shinichi is still working. The owner thinks it’s adorable that his junior wants his help. He gives Shinichi the rest of the day off so he can help her. What a good dude. Although, he totally just wants to watch some more of their hilarious back-and-forth. Shinichi does help Uzaki with her report. In the middle of their session, she asks if she can visit his place. He immediately shoots her down. There’s no reason to let her. Uzaki disagrees. There’s a lot of pros! She can even cook for him. Is her food even edible? Besides, Shinichi’s place is close to the campus. She’d figure she could sleep there. Shinichi starts blushing. What does she mean!? Does she want something to happen between them!? You bet she does! She wants to stay up all night…and play games with him! This causes Shinichi to break. The owner is having a good time though! He hopes Shinichi doesn’t quit his job so he decides to give him a raise! He probably deserves it.
In Summary:
This was a hilarious episode. I found myself laughing out loud a few times. The scene where Uzaki was stuck in a bush and Shinichi’s unexpected reaction literally killed me. Uzaki’s cafeteria scene was also very amusing. So many great GIF moments! You’ve also got to love the cafe owner. He’s having way too much fun when those two get together, haha. But then again, aren’t we all? The comedy has been great so far and I hope it stays that way!
