‘Jujutsu Kaisen’ Anime Cast Expands

We learned back in November 2019 that Jujutsu Kaisen is on track for a TV adaptation and the updates have been flowing in pretty regularly. The latest update for the series that’s scheduled for a fall 2020 debut that has come in focuses on some cast additions, notably the second-years from the Magic Technical College. The new additions include Mikako Komatsu as Maki Zenin, Kouki Uchiyama as Toge Inumaki, and Tomokazu Seki as Panda. Check out the character designs and actor headshots below in the same order!

In terms of production, Sunghoo Park is directing the series based on the scripts from Hiroshi Seko. Tadashi Hiramatsu is adapting the original character designs and MAPPA will be handling the animation for the production.

The Japanese cast includes Junya Enoki as Yūji Itadori, Yūma Uchida as Megumi Fushiguro, Asami Seto as Nobara Kugisaki, and Junichi Suwabe as Sukuna Ryomen.

The series comes from Gege Akutami which began in 2018 and has eleven volumes out as of June 2020.

Plot Concept: For some strange reason, Yuji Itadori, despite his insane athleticism would rather just hang out with the Occult Club. However, her soon finds out that the occult is as real as it gets when his fellow club members are attacked! Meanwhile, the mysterious Megumi Fushiguro is tracking down a special-grade cursed object, and his search leads him to Itadori…
