The anime adaptation of the Plunderer manga from Suu Minazuki got its first cour underway with a January 8th, 2020 debut and Funimation brought it and its second cour as simulcasts on their site and on Hulu. With both cour still there, Funimation has now brought over the twelve-episode dub of the first cour so that it can expand to the fans that aren’t interested in the Japanese language track here.
The series is directed by Hiroyuki Kanbe based on the scripts overseen by Masashi Suzuki. Yuka Takashina and Hiroki Fukuda are working on the character designs with studio Geek Toys handling the animation production.
The Japanese cast includes Yoshiki Nakajima as Licht Bach, Rina Honnizumi as Hina, Ari Ozawa as Lynn May, Aoi Ichikawa as Pele, Yuichiro Umehara as Jail Murdoch, Shizuka Itou as Nana, and Aoi Yūki will play Mizuki Sonohara.
The English cast includes Eric Vale as Licht Bach, Sarah Wiedenheft as Hina, Elizabeth Maxwell as Lynn May, and Austin Tindle as Pele Popolo.
Miku Itō will perform the opening theme song “Plunderer” while Rina Honnizumi will perform the ending theme song “Countless Days” for the production.
The manga from Suu Minazuki began in 2014 and has twelve volumes out so far. Yen Press is releasing it in English.
