We learned in October 2019 that the light novel series Our Last Crusade or the Rise of a New World, also known as Kimi to Boku no Saigo no Senjō, Arui wa Sekai ga Hajimaru Seisen, was on track for it and the series was announced by Funimation this summer as a fall 2020 simulcast. They’re now involved in bringing out the updates quickly as well and a new promo has arrived this morning out of Japan. That’s revealed the ending theme song “Koori no Torikago” by Sora Amamiya in character.
Four new characters were announced as well with Kaori Ishihara as Nene Alkastone, Nao Shiraki as Mismis Klass, Shunichi Toki as Jhin Syulargun, and Yumiri Hanamori as Rin Vispose.

The project will be directed by Shin Oonuma and Mirai Minato based on the series composition by Kento Shimoyama. Kaori Sato is handling the character designs while serving as the chief animation director with production handled by Silver Link.
The initial casting includes:
- Yūsuke Kobayashi as Iska
- Sora Amamiya as Aliceliese Lou Nebulis IX
The series comes from writer Kei Sazane and illustrator Ao Nekonabe which began in 2017 and has seven volumes out so far. A manga adaptation kicked off in 2018 with Okama handling that as serialized in Young Animal magazine. Yen Press is releasing both in English in North America.
The opening theme song is “Against” by Kaori Ishihara.
