It’s been a tough slog for the Precure Miracle Leap anime feature film as it was originally set for a March 20th, 2020 debut but was pushed back to a May 16th, 2020 release date in hopes that things would be better by then. It was put on indefinite hold in April and now the official site has revealed that it’s scheduled for an October 31st, 2020 debut! That announcement also came with the news that a Healin’ Good Precure film is going to arrive sometime in 2021.
The film was directed by Toshinori Fukazawa based on the screenplay by Isao Murayama. Nishiki Itaoka handled the character designs and served as the chief animation director.
The Japanese main cast includes Eimi Naruse as Hikaru Hoshina/Cure Star, Kiyono Yasuno as Erena Amamiya/Cure Soleil, Konomi Kohara as Lala Hagoromo/Cure Milky, Mikako Komatsu as Madoka Kaguya/Cure Selene, Nao Tamura as Emiru Aisaki/Cure Macherie, Rie Hikisaka as Hana Nono/Cure Yell, Rina Hon’izumi as Saaya Yakushiji/Cure Ange, Yui Ogura as Homare Kagayaki/Cure Étoile, and Yukari Tamura as Lulu Amour/Cure Amour.
Property Concept: The story begins when Hikaru meets aliens Lala, Prunce, and Fuwa while watching the night sky. She learns of the “Star Palace,” where the 12 Star Princesses of the constellations kept the balance of the universe until they were attacked. Lala is searching for the legendary Precure warriors to help find the 12 scattered “Princess Star Color Pens” and revive the princesses. When Fuwa is captured by an enemy, Hikaru wishes to save Fuwa, and a Star Color Pendent and a Star Color Pen appear to allow her to transform into Cure Star. From then on she works to collect the pens and raise Fuwa, who is the key to reviving the princesses.
