The anime adaptation of the light novels That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime from Fuse and Mitz Vah has been doing a couple of OAD releases with the manga and we saw Crunchyroll bringing out the fourth one just last week as part of the Anime Expo Lite event. We were also promised that the fifth episode would be streaming and they’ve now updated with the plans for that. The episode is set for a November 27th, 2020 debut where it’ll be available to viewers in North America, Central America, South America, Europe, Africa, Oceania, the Middle East, and CIS. This will match up to the Japanese release, which makes it a really great bonus for overseas fans.

Yasuhito Kikuchi directs the TV series based on the series composition by Kazuyuki Fudeyasu. Ryouma Ebata is handling the character designs with 8-Bit working the animation production.

The Japanese cast includes Miho Okazaki as RimuruTomoaki Maeno as Veldora, Yumiri Hanamori as ShizuMakoto Furukawa as Benimaru, Sayaka Senbongi as Shuna, M.A.O as Shion, Takuya Eguchi as Sōei, Houchu Ohtsuka as Hakurō, Rina Hidaka as Milim, Megumi Toyoguchi as Great Sage, Junichi Yanagita as Kurobee, Chikahiro Kobayashi as Ranga, Kanehira Yamamoto as Rigurdo, Haruki Ishiya as Rigur, Asuna Tomari as Gobuta, Atsushi Ono as Kaijin, Takuma Terashima as Satoru Mikami, Rie Tanaka as Trainee, Takaya Hashi as the dwarf king Gazeru, Kenjiro Tsuda as the minister Besutaa, Ken Narita as Fyūzu, Itaru Yamamoto as Beruyaado, Ryūichi Kijima as Gido, Akane Kumada as Ellen, and Kengo Takanashi as Kabaru.

The manga, which has just under 5 million copies in print in Japan, began in 2013 and a manga adaptation launched in 2015, both of which are being brought out by Yen Press and Kodansha Comics respectively.

Plot Concept: Rimuru and the Class S students have made it through the first exercise of the Freedom Academy’s annual outdoor training event. Class S has arrived first at the destination, the mansion of Count Guratol, and now they’re ready to begin the second exercise, a cave exploration… but awaiting them there are thieves who hope to kidnap the students and make a fortune returning them for ransom money. Just when it seems like Rimuru’s students have fought them off thanks to the skills he taught them, they realize a monster is lurking among the thieves! This is the final installment in the brand new episode created by the original author, Fuse-sensei, just for this OAD release!
