It’s very easy to feel disconnected from The Seven Deadly since as it’s a Netflix exclusive and there are no home video releases for those that partake mostly just from there. The fall 2019 series The Seven Deadly Sins: Wrath of the Gods is getting ready to make its leap to the service overseas now that the Japanese home video side is wrapping up as Netflix has added their page for it with an August 6th, 2020 debut. Check out the page here to see the dub trailer that’s been produced for it.
Working from a new story by original creator Nakaba Suzuki, this season is coming from a different production staff with a planned 40-episode run. Susumu Nishizawa is directing based on the series composition by Rintarou Ikeda. Rie Nishino is working on the character side of things and Studio DEEN is working on the animation production instead of A-1 Pictures.
The Japanese cast includes Yuuki Kaji as Meliodas, Sora Amamiya as Elizabeth, Jun Fukuyama as King, Misaki Kuno as Hawk and Mamoru Miyano as Gilthunder so far.
The manga is created by Nakaba Suzuki with twenty-five volumes in print so far and over three million copies in circulation total. The manga series began in 2012 and Kodansha Comics is bringing the series out for North American fans in print while Crunchyroll has the digital chapters being published on their site.
