What They Say:
Your favorite Nazarick goofballs are at it again with their hilarious hijinks! Between playing dress-up, looking for a partner for Ainz’s adorable fur ball Hamusuke, and prepping for the ending theme of the second season of the Overlord anime, there’s never a dull moment for these Ainz-obsessed troublemakers!

Who’s ready for more Nazarick shenanigans? Let’s begin with Albedo’s problem. She’s sad because she doesn’t own any revealing clothing. It’s weird that she doesn’t though. She is a succubus after all! Why does she want sexy clothes? To seduce Ainz-sama, of course! This doesn’t surprise me at all. Oddly enough, Shalltear of all people decides to help her out. She’s got a lot of outfits that were given to her by Peroroncino. First up, bikini armor! Well, it’s definitely revealing. However, it doesn’t provide much in terms of defense. Albedo can’t leave herself open like that while protecting Ainz-sama. Okay, how about a schoolgirl outfit? It has the power of absolute territory! I’m assuming you know what that means. Albedo isn’t sure about this one either. How about a school swimsuit? Nah, that’s a pass, too. Man, Shalltear sure has a lot of revealing outfits, huh? We all know what kind of person Peroroncino was. In the end, she decides to go with the virgin killer sweater. Ainz sees her in that outfit and compliments her. Success! Also, Albedo is placed in solitary confinement because she attacked Ainz-sama afterward. She thought he was giving her the green light, haha.

Do you know what the denizens of Nazarick need? An Ainz-sama fan anthology! I think they should call it Ainz a la Carte. Terrible joke, I know. Anywho, everyone has gathered to submit their stories for the fan anthology. Their stories will be evaluated to see if they belong in it. Albedo is the first person to submit her story. It’s about her and Ainz-sama naming their child. The story is quickly rejected. But why!? No one wants to see a story where Ainz-sama gives affection to only one character. It’s unfair to everyone else! That makes sense. Shalltear submits her story next and as you can imagine, is about her and Ainz-sama. Her story is also rejected. Cocytus submits his story and it’s about his close relationship with Ainz-sama’s son. The story ends with his son giving him a bouquet of flowers as thanks for everything he has done. Everyone wholeheartedly approves of this story! Other popular entries include Yuri’s table of contents and a collection of Ainz-sama sketches drawn by the normal maids. But the most popular submission turns out to be Demiurge’s. It’s a simple story where the main character gains Ainz-sama’s approval. The thing that makes this story so popular is the fact that he left the main character blank. That means anyone who’s reading it can insert themselves into the role. Everyone loves it! All that’s left is to print the fan anthology and make sure Ainz-sama doesn’t find out about it. Naturally, Pandora’s Actor tells him about it but won’t show him the fan anthology. That just makes Ainz want to read it more!

In perhaps the most hilariously awkward chapter this volume has to offer, Ainz is trying to find Hamusuke a partner. He has been unable to find any other Hamusukes in this world. They must exist, right? How else was Hamusuke made!?!? Aura is also disappointed that they haven’t been able to find other Hamusukes. She’d love to obtain all those fluffy pelts! Bad Aura! Anyway, the search for a partner began because Hamusuke remarked that she’d like to have children someday. Ainz starts thinking about what he’d do if she did become pregnant. She’s very important to Ainz. She’s his transportation! Would he give her time off? Maternity leave? Wait, should he consider Hamusuke as a servant or a pet? Ainz decides to ask Albedo’s opinion. She remarks that Hamusuke is definitely a servant. They’re both equals! That’s very nice of her to say! Although, she only says that because she wants to be Ainz-sama’s pet. Classic Albedo. Ainz even tries something drastic and asks Pandora’s Actor to transform into Hamusuke. He can but he’d transform into Hamusuke exactly which means he’d also be a girl. Well, I guess that’s a bust. Also, that would have been weird. Oh well, I’m sure there’s a partner out there for Hamusuke. She’ll find him one day, maybe.

Of course, there were many other fun stories included in this volume such as the Pleiades coming up with their Super Sentai colors, learning proverbs and idioms with Ainz-sama, Supreme Beings roleplay, and the gang coming up with an ending credits scene for the second season of the Overlord anime! By the way, nothing they came up with in that last chapter was used in the ending for the second season. I kind of wanted to see an Overlord dancing or running ending credits scene. Once again, my favorite part about the Overlord: The Undead King Oh! manga was reading Juami’s editor’s comments on every page. They’re hilarious! I can only imagine how much fun it is to write a comment for every page you read.

In Summary:
As always, it’s fun to see the usually serious characters of Overlord acting silly. I particularly enjoyed the chapter where everyone was submitting stories for the Lovely Ainz-sama Fan Anthology. It was entertaining to see what they all came up with. Shizu had the best story though. Vanilla burning love~. The editorial comments were the best part of the volume yet again. I hope Juami’s editor is getting paid well for his contributions! I do have to add that the comedy is starting to lose a bit of its charm. At the moment, I’m reading both the Overlord: The Undead King Oh! and Overlord a la Carte series. In my opinion, the Overlord a la Carte does a much better job with its comedy. Don’t fall behind, Overlord: The Undead King Oh!!
