Netflix Adds First ‘Yu-Gi-Oh!’ Anime Season Streaming

2 min read
A mix of Yu-Gi-Oh! anime seasons are available.

Netflix is still in a bit of a weird state when it comes to streaming the Yu-Gi-Oh! property. They had all three seasons streaming before but the first two seasons had expired previously, leaving just the third. Now, the first season has finally come back onto the service so fans and new viewers can start from the beginning but the second season itself is still missing in action.

The original manga series ran from 1996 to 2004 as serialized in Weekly Shonen Jump and it went through a couple of names along the way, with Duelist and Millennium added as a subtitle for it. The property spawned a plethora of anime series and films over the years as well.

Property concept: The Millennium Puzzle Sitting by himself in the back of the class, 10th-grader Yugi always had his head in some game–until he solved the Millennium Puzzle, an Egyptian artifact containing a powerful spirit from the age of the pharoahs! Awakened after three thousand years, the King of Games possesses Yugi, recklessly challenging bullies and evildoers to the Shadow Games, where the stakes are high, and even the most ordinary bet may result in weirdness and danger beyond belief! Let the games…begin!
