‘Talentless Nana’ Anime TV Adaptation Debuts First Promo & Season Scheduling

We learned April 2020 that a new anime adaptation will be winging its way to us in the future with the Muno no Nana manga getting the nod. It’s localized as Talentless Nana and now the official site has updated with the cast for the series, some theme song information, and a promo. The series is scheduled for the fall 2020 season and they revealed that Miyu Tomita is performing the opening theme song “Broken Sky” for the show while Chiai Fujikawa is performing the ending theme song “Bakemono to Yobarete.”

The initial cast was revealed with:

  • Rumi Okubo as Nana Hiiragi
  • Hiro Shimono as Nanao Nakajima
  • Yūichi Nakamura as Kyōya Onodera

A new key visual can be found below as well of the trio together.

Shinji Ishihara is directing the series based on the series composition by Fumihiko Shimo. Satohiko Sano is working on the character designs with studio Bridge handling the production.

Talentless Nana comes from writer Looseboy and artist Iori Furuya and the series is currently simulpublished on Crunchyroll. The book is serialized in Shounen GanGan and it has six volumes out in Japan as of its April 2020 announcement.

It’s the first work for both creators.

Plot Concept: An academy on an island in unnavigable waters. There, students trained tirelessly, to fight back against the enemies of humanity. The protagonist, a student newly transferred there, also sets out with the intention of eradicating all enemies of humankind. An unpredictable, intellectual suspense story of justice and evil.
