Manga Planet Adds SOZO Comics Titles to Library

Manga titles by Yoshitaka Amano, Akira Itou, Himekawa Art Production, and Yoshiki Tanaka to be released in the Manga Planet Library in July 2020.

With three conventions this past weekend, we’re still doing some catch-up on a few announcements. The folks at Manga Planet made some welcome ones for fans there this weekend as they announced that they’re bringing on SOZO Comics properties to the service, giving manga fans something that they might not see much of otherwise.

The first chapters of these titles will be available for free in the Manga Planet Library when they go live later this month. Subscribers to the Library get to read the succeeding chapters in addition to other manga titles from Home-sha, Inc., LEED Publishing Co., Ltd., San-ei Corporation, WANIBOOKS Co., Ltd., SHONENGAHOSHA, and by mangakas Masaya Hokazono and Nakashima723.

Enchanted Racer

In a planet called Deadheat, where it is mostly devoid of water, monsters embodying the planet’s energy called Enemonsters roam around. Hunters called Coinmakers pursue those Enemonsters by defeating them and turning them into coins. In a twist of fate, Coinmaker Turbo meets the racer Retra when he visits his grandfather’s grave. Thus begins their journey in collecting strong monster coins dubbed as The Ultimate Seven.

Marin

Prince of Lan Ling

Now on a mission to find his fellow generals, will he be able to fulfill his duty? What exactly is he fighting for?

Akira Itou is known for his works Yu-Gi-Oh! R and Cardfight!! Vanguard. Akira Himekawa of Himekawa Art Production is the duo behind The Legend Of ZELDA series and the 2003 manga version of Astro Boy. Yoshiki Tanaka, one of the famous writers in Japan, is well-known as the writer of Legend of the Galactic Heroes. Yoshitaka Amano, one of Japan’s most celebrated artists, is renowned for his work on the FINAL FANTASY series.
