The most I've ever seen Eat Man smile

Originally licensed in 2016 and having seen DVD releases in 2017, Discotek Media is now expanding on its Eat-Man anime streaming treatment. While they’ve released both on home video before on SDBD and it’s available through several streaming outfits, the folks at RetroCrush are now digging into some new clips. This one comes from the tenth episode and gives us more than a third of the episode as it clocks in at eight minutes.

Animated by Studio Deen, the series was directed by Koichi Mashimo who also handled the scripts, worked on the storyboards and handled the series overall composition. It’s based on the 19 volume manga series from Akihito Yoshitomi.

Plot concept: Meet Bolt Crank, mercenary extraordinaire, and the man who eats metal! Through his travels, he stops along the way to make a few bucks and occasionally rescue damsels in distress. His taste for metal gives him quite an edge as he becomes capable of generating an assortment of weapons from his hand! It’s a strange ability, but it seems to come in handy, so to speak. Bolt has an edge over his adversaries, but will that be enough?
