The schedule for the Strike the Blood III anime releases coming from Warner Bros. Japan is getting some new updates. The ten-episode series originally saw a five-volume release that began on December 19th, 2018 where both formats are listed as limited editions and will be priced at 6,800 yen each. Now, a compact single-disc release of all ten episodes has been scheduled for a September 9th, 2020 debut where it’ll be priced at 9,800 yen. It doesn’t come with any of the extras or anything so it’s just an affordable way to own the show without any of the goodies.
The property is based on the light novels of the same name by Gakuto Mikumo with artwork by Manyako, which began in 2011 and has eighteen volumes to date. A manga adaptation began in 2012 summer that’s progressing slowly with artwork be Tate.
The cast includes Yoshimasa Hosoya as Kojō Akatsuki, Risa Taneda as Yukina Himeragi, Asami Seto as Asagi Aiba, Rina Hidaka as Nagisa Akatsuki, Ikumi Hayama as Sayaka Kirisaka, Ryota Ohsaka as Motoki Yaze, Hisako Kanemoto as Natsuki Minamiya, and Yuka Iguchi as Astarte.
The TV series and previous two OVA series had Hideyo Yamamoto directing based off of scripts by Hiroyuki Yoshino with character designs by Keiichi Sano. Discotek Media has picked up the home video rights for the TV show in North America.

For the observation and obliteration of this Fourth Primogenitor, the government and Lion King decided to dispatch an attack mage known as a Sword Shaman. However, for some reason, the one chosen for the observation was a apprentice Sword Shaman girl, Himegari Yukina. Wielding the strongest anti-primogenitor spirit spear, Yukina arrived at Demon District, Itogami City. What is the true identity of the Fourth Primogenitor, Akatsuki Kojou, she encountered over there!?
