The spring 2019 virtual YouTuber series Watanuki-san Chi no has previously got its home video marching orders with what looks like SMM Itaku handling the distribution. Set for a four-disc release in a single box set, the first season of the show landed on October 9th, 2019. The DVD box set is priced at 16,800 yen while the Blu-ray release is priced at 22,800 yen. The second season is being set up with the same general pricing with the DVD set at 18,000 yen and the Blu-ray at 25,000 yen with it now set to hit on October 28th, 2020.
The series was directed by Takashi Sumida based on the scripts by Mitsuhiko Fujiki and Hiromu Kumamoto.
Plot Concept: In the story, the three VTubers will play the roles of the Watanuki sisters, who live together in one house in the Shitamachi area of Tokyo after they lost their parents. The series will show the heartwarming everyday lives of the sisters.
