Funimation Adds ‘SUPER HXEROS’ For Summer 2020 Anime Lineup

Funimation adds another show to their summer lineup!

The summer 2020 anime adaptation for the manga series Dokyū Hentai HxEros is set for a July 3rd, 2020 debut in Japan and now some simulcast news has landed. Aniplex has brought the series to Funimation for exclusive streaming but noted that it would be the censored broadcast version that will be localized as SUPER HXEROS. Check out the new trailer for it below.

Masato Jinbo is set to direct with character designs done by Akitomo Yamamoto. Project No. 9 will be handling the animation production.

The previously announced Japanese cast includes Yoshitsugu Matsuoka as Retto Enjō, Ai Kakuma as Kirara Hoshino, Sayuri Yahagi as Momoka Momozono, Yūki Kuwahara as Sora Tenkūji, Ai Kayano as Maihime Shirayuki, Shinichiro Miki as Jō Anno, Nichika Omori as Chacha, Daisuke Kishio as Rumba, and Rikiya Koyama as Narrator.

The series comes from creator Ryoma Kitada that began in Jump SQ magazine in April 2017 and has eight volumes out as of the announcement of the anime.

The series will feature the closing theme song “lost emotion” by Ai Kakuma.

Plot Concept: Earth faces an unprecedented threat from an invasion by the mysterious Kiseichuu. The Kiseichuu feed on human sexual energy, also known as “H-energy”, and weaken the human population.

High school student Retto Enjo is a member of the hero group HXEROS, who fight together to save the earth from the Kiseichuu.
