There’s been a lot of dialogue about the potential and upcoming sixth season of Lucifer on Netflix with all things complicated by the pandemic. But before there can be a sixth season, the first half of the fifth season has to come out. With a leaked date hitting over the weekend, Netflix has now confirmed that the fifth season will arrive on August 21st, 2020 and they’ve released a 66.6-second promo for it with some of his best moments..
At 77 episodes through five seasons, Lucifer would be one of the longest-running Netflix original series by including the original Fox-run episodes, which is a bit of a cheat but we’ll allow it. No date for the fifth season start has come yet but it’s expected for this spring.
The series stars Tom Ellis as Lucifer Morningstar, Lauren German as Chloe Decker, Kevin Alejandro as Dan Espinoza, Aimee Garcia as Ella Lopez, D.B. Woodside as Amenadiel, Lesley-Ann Brandt as Mazikeen, Rachael Harris as Linda Martin, Graham McTavish as Father Kinley and Inbar Lavi as Eve.
Plot Concept: Reeling from the aftermath of Chloe seeing his devil face, Lucifer faces a new challenge: Eve, the original sinner herself, is back. Does she want revenge for when he tempted her out of Eden oh so many years ago… or something else entirely?
