We learned back in March 2019 that an anime adaptation is in the works for the Mushoku Tensei: Roxy Gets Serious property. The official site has updated with some good news in that we have the cast but unfortunate if expected news that it’s being pushed back to 2021. The series is directed by Manabu Okamoto with character designs by Kazutaka Sugiyama. Studio Bind is on board for the animation production.

The Japanese cast includes:

  • Yumi Uchiyama as Rudeus Greyrat
  • Ai Kakuma as Eris Boreas Greyrat
  • Konomi Kohara as Roxy Migurdia
  • Ai Kayano as Sylphiette

Check out their designs in the same order below along with their voice actor:

The series from Rifujin na Magonote and illustrator Shirotaka is slotted for an anime adaptation according to the book imprint MF Books. The light novels began in 2014 and a manga adaptation kicked off in the same year.

Plot Concept: Just when an unemployed thirty-four-year-old otaku reaches a dead end in life and decides that it’s time to turn over a new leaf—he gets run over by a truck and dies! Shockingly, he finds himself reborn into an infant’s body in a strange new world of swords and magic. His new identity is Rudeus Grayrat, but he still retains the memories of his previous life. Follow Rudeus from infancy to adulthood, as he struggles to redeem himself in a wondrous yet dangerous world.
