While we saw last year the pickup by Seven Seas of the manga of Take’s Uzaki-chan Wants to Hang Out! work, early February 2020 revealed an anime adaptation coming up for it. Scheduled with a July 10th, 2020 premiere, the official site has rolled out a quick-hit new TV spot to start seeding the broadcast audience with what’s to come. The series has Kazuya Miura directing it based on the scripts overseen by Takashi Aoshima. Manabu Kurihara is handling the character designs with ENGI handling the animation production.

The Japanese cast includes:

  • Naomi Ōzora as Hana Uzaki
  • Kenji Akabane as Shinichi Sakurai
  • Ayana Taketatsu as Ami Asai
  • Tomoya Takagi as Itsuhito Sakaki
  • Yosuke Akimoto as Master
  • Saori Hayami as Tsuki Uzaki

The property by Take is serialized in Dragon Age magazine and began in 2017 and it has four volumes out so far in Japan.

The series features “Nadamesukashi Negotiation” by Kano and Naomi Ōzora as the opening theme song.

Plot Concept: Sakurai Shinichi’s one wish is for a little peace and quiet. But Uzaki Hana–his boisterous, well-endowed underclassman–has other plans. All she wants is to hang out and poke fun at him. With the help of her chipper charm and peppy persistence, this might just be the start of a beautiful relationship! Fans of slice-of-life comedy Tomo-chan is a Girl! are sure to enjoy this new “odd couple” tale about sexy misadventures in a college setting.
