‘Samurai Flamenco’ Anime Gets Expanded Streaming Distribution With Funimation

This is the story of the birth of a true hero featuring these two young men with a touch of comedy and serious drama, while they come face to face with hardships as they search for the true meaning of becoming a hero of justice in this world!

Samurai FlamencoWhile we continue to lament that Samurai Flamenco hasn’t had a physical media release, we’re glad that it’s getting a little renewed attention for streaming. We talked earlier this month about Crunchyroll expanding their availability of it and now Funimation has brought on the show. Their availability is set for audiences in the US and Canada as well as the UK and Ireland. The series ran for twenty-two episodes which is available to check out here.

The series was broadcast during the fall 2013 season and ran for twenty-two episodes. It was picked up for North American release by Aniplex USA while Anime Limited has the UK rights for the series. No details about releases in the US region have been revealed yet.

Plot concept: Male model Masayoshi Hazama decides to fulfil his childhood dream of becoming a superhero, despite having no superpowers or the technology to create a high-powered suit. He becomes the hero Samurai Flamenco and begins to fight crime in the name of justice no crime is too small for him! Police officer Hidenori Goto finds out about Samurai Flamenco…
