I’ll admit, you do kind of make your way through the episode wondering what it is that made the date go bad

What They Say:
Cute but rude! Tatami-chan is a crazy-cute heroine taking on the ghosts, spirits, and even humans residing in the Tokyo metropolitan area in the new Reiwa era! Oshikiri’s unique style is on full display in this thrilling horror-gag comedy, coming soon! This episode has Tatami heading to Karaoke Sound to experience what it’s like in the big city since they’re everywhere.

My mild amusement with this series wore off as it went on, as I expected, and while there’s a mild chuckle here and there it’s still pretty much what you’d expect. This episode has Tatami and the priestess at the station where they’re commenting on a couple that’s in the midst of a fight, delighting in all the twists and turns and the public display of it all. Tatami actually wants to get involved and jumps right in even though it’s not the best thing to do. The whole thing revolves around a date that went great but the girl ended up upset at the end and now the group is trying to figure it out, made worse by the arrival of the tickling priest.

In Summary:
I’ll admit, you do kind of make your way through the episode wondering what it is that made the date go bad as the guy is peppered with questions and ideas with what it could be all while she says nothing or just looks annoyed at people getting involved in their business. Such is what happens with Tatami and the way she wants to know more about Tokyoites and how they interact. When we do get to the point of the gag right at the end you’re glad the episode is over before you flip a desk and walk away from it.
