WB Japan Reschedules ‘Keep Your Hands Off Eizouken!’ Anime Blu-ray Box Set Release

The Eizouken (Video Research Club) turn their anime dreams into a reality.

The winter 2020 anime adaptation of Sumito Owara’s manga series Keep Your Hands Off Eizouken! is getting its home video release handled by Warner Bros. Japan. They’ve gone and set the box set route for the show with the full twelve-episode series in one collection. Originally set to land on June 24th, 2020, the release has now been postponed to an August 12th, 2020 date due to pandemic related shutdown issues. It’ll be priced at 32,800 yen.

The set will be done across two discs and include a soundtrack CD. A new box from the original creator will be included and there’ll be clear files, illustration carts, a t-shirt, and more as part of the pack-ins. On-disc extras include behind the scenes on creating the ending, dubbing, the animation process itself, mini animations and more. An audio commentary is also planned.

The series has Masaaki Yuasa directing from the scripts he’s supervising. Naoyuki Asano is handling the character designs with Science SARU studio handling the animation production.

The Japanese cast includes Sairi Itō as Midori Asakusa, Mutsumi Tamura as Sayaka Kanamori, Misato Matsuoka as Tsubame Mizusaki, Yumiri Hanamori as Doumeki, Mikako Komatsu as Sowande Sakaki, and Kazuhiko Inoue as Mr. Fujimoto.

Check out the visuals for the first three characters below as well as the actors, noting that this role is Ito’s debut.

The series features the opening sequence with the song “Easy Breezy” from chelmico as well as the ending song “Namae no Nai Ao” by Kami-sama, Boku wa Kizuite Shimatta.

The manga began in 2026 in Gakkan! Spirits magazine with four volumes released so far.

Plot Concept: The story follows Midori, Tsubame, and Sayaka, an energetic trio of first-year high school girls who come together in the Eizouken (Video Research Club) to turn their anime dreams into a reality. Midori is nervous to create an anime alone. She meets Tsubame who appears to be a well-to-do girl but she really has artistic dreams of being an animator. Midori’s best friend Sayaka has the financial sense to bring the project to fruition and joins the pair on their quest.
