The manga series Hinamatsure spawned the spring 2018 anime series and now a new update on the source material has come out. The property, which is being released in English by One Peace Books, has revealed that it’ll be finishing its serialization with the July 15th, 2020 installment of Harta magazine that it runs in. The series, created by Masao Ohtake, will deliver its 19th and final volume later this summer and bring it all to a close.

The show was directed by Kei Oikawa based on the series composition by Keiichirou Ohchi. Kanetoshi Kamimoto served as the character designer and chief animation director with studio feel. producing the animation.

The Japanese cast includes Takako Tanaka as Hina, Yoshiki Nakajima as Yoshifumi Nitta, Rie Murakawa as Anzu, Kaede Hondo as Hitomi Mishima, Yoko Hikasa as Utako, Ari Ozawa as Mao, Tsuyoshi Koyama as Kiyoshi Baba, and Kengo Kawanishi as Sabu.

The opening song is “Distance” as performed by Rie Murakawa while the ending song is “Salted Salmon, Salmon Roe, 893, and the Girl” by Yoshiki Nakajima.

The work comes from the manga by Masao Ohtake that kicked off in 2009 and ended with nineteen volumes in summer 2020.

Plot Concept: Nitta is an ambitious, young member of the Ashikawa-gumi yakuza syndicate. One day, a mysterious, oval-shaped object falls out of thin air into his apartment, and suddenly changes everything! Inside of the object is an expressionless young girl named Hina. The girl has formidable telekinetic powers that she uses to threaten Nitta, forcing him to allow her to live in his apartment. Dangers abound as the yakuza member and young psychic begin their life together as roommates!
